What inspired me to do this work
A longstanding curiosity about the human mind, combined with a desire to support people through moments of vulnerability, led me to psychiatry. I was drawn to a field where careful medical thinking and genuine human connection can exist together.
How I stay inspired and curious
I remain inspired through listening to patients, colleagues, and emerging research. Each individual brings a unique story, and continuous reflection and learning are central to my practice.
What has influenced my approach
My approach has been shaped by clinical training, NHS practice, trauma-informed principles, and the lived experiences of those I work with. Understanding distress within its wider personal and social context is fundamental to how I practise.
One gentle tip for wellbeing
Be patient with yourself. Small, consistent moments of reflection, rest, and self-kindness can quietly support long-term wellbeing.
